In an electrifying fusion of the nation’s best food and wine, Billykart West End will merge the talents of celebrity chef Ben O’Donoghue and renowned winery d’Arenberg.

The pop up cellar door will be hosted over two spectacular nights of wining and dining, set to sweep Brisbane on Thursday the 13th and Friday the 14th of July.

In an immersive night of wine tasting, the Thursday will feature a sit-down dinner crafted by Ben O’Donoghue. Here, d’Arenberg’s famous McLaren Vale vintages will pour alongside selections of South Australian oysters, mussels, charcuterie and cheese, prepared with Ben’s vibrant Spanish-styled flavours.

Plates will move around tables in an animated shared dinner, where guests are encouraged to dine, chat, and learn about the six d’Arenberg wines offered throughout your meal. Following dinner, these vintages will be available to purchase for diners’ personal cellars.

Friday will see the cellar doors opened wide, ushering food and wine enthusiasts in to taste d’Arenberg’s spectacular portfolio of wines. As excitement builds over wine tasting flights and social chatter, Ben O’Donoghue will entice guests to a live cooking station, where a rich seafood paella will pair with the McLaren Vale varietals.

Wine enthusiasts will crowd the bar as a bottle from d’Arenberg’s personal cellar is finally unveiled. The incredible six litre Dead Arm Shiraz was rated 96 points on release, and has been resting in the cool winery cellar for eight years. This is a one-night-only opportunity!

Set to continue well into the night, the dynamic event encourages Brisbane diners to indulge in some of Australia’s finest wine, with back vintages ready to purchase by the bottle.
