Hooked on Fish Lane? Either you are, or you’re about to be. South Brisbane’s brightest cultural dining precinct has four surprises up its sleeve that are set to steal the spotlight.
Throughout November and December, four new venues will be claiming their rightful place amidst a lane of award-winning eateries.
The fantastic four include hip-hop barber and bar Next Episode, dedicated vegan burger bar Grassfed, and well-loved household names, Kiss The Berry and DA’Burger.
Moving in next door to Big Roddy’s on November 16, Next Episode will be the first of its kind as a blended barbershop with a hip-hop inspired bar behind closed doors. In classic speakeasy fashion, guests will be required to ring the phone in the barbershop to be let in to the bar. The bar will feature a plethora of cocktails, rotating craft beers, and DJs for a unique social experience.
Brisbane’s next destination for vegans is Grassfed, which is set to be a dedicated vegan burger bar run by Vegan Markets mogul, Jonny Garrison. Partnered with ex-Urbane Alejandro Cancino, the pair are creating a meat-free haven full of mock pork, chicken, and beef. Stacked and loaded burgers that are completely plant-based will prove meat-free doesn’t mean missing out on the good stuff, with guilty pleasures to satisfy beyond belief. A balanced mix of sides, beer and vegan ice cream will also thrill plant-based diners and curious omnivores alike from early December.
Well-known acai bowl specialists, Kiss The Berry, will be on board for every on-the-go health food need. Opening on November 9, everything from big brekky smoothies to watermelon split bowls will be on offer to satisfy eager eyes.
DA’Burger’s third venue will be launching on November 22. Set to be their biggest yet, this new burger baller will be taking over with an outdoor dining area, two functions spaces and an impressive bar with 12 beers on tap. All favourite meaty burgers will be available, although the menu will be expanding to cater to vegan diets.
Your social season feasting awaits at Fish Lane.
