Introducing Brisbane’s hottest new club: EatClub. While it doesn’t involve flashing lights and pumping bass, EatClub is set to entertain and thrill by offering last-minute discounted tables at some of the city’s top restaurants.
Created in consultation with world-renowned chef and restaurateur, Marco Pierre White, EatClub aims to fill restaurants during slow periods, while simultaneously delivering value to diners. As a flexible pricing platform, the deals offered on EatClub range from 20 to 50% off diners’ total bill, which restaurants can activate during quiet times.
While it isn’t something that diners often consider, empty tables cost restaurants big time; owners pay 70% of their overall costs covering staff wages and overhead expenses, regardless of whether people are spending.
To celebrate EatClub’s arrival in Brisbane, Caxton Street institution Fritzenberger is giving away 300 burgers from 5pm on Friday, October 5. EatClub users simply need to redeem the offer via the app and head to the venue to tuck in; as with all of EatClub’s dining offers, the free burgers are first in best dressed!
Participating EatClub restaurants in Brisbane include Philip Johnson’s iconic e’cco Bistro, trendy pizza spot Corbett & Claude, and South Bank staple River Quay Fish.
Since the app’s launch in Melbourne last October, and Sydney in March, EatClub has seen hundreds of top-tier restaurants fill their off-peak empty tables with diners happy to be chowing down on a quality meal for cheap.
The app was co-founded by former Foodora executive Pan Koutlakis, Ben Tyler, and Matt Cantelo. So… how does Marco Pierre White come into the algorithm? When initially devising EatClub and looking for guidance, the boys emailed five of the world’s top chefs, hoping one would see the potential and jump on board… and the rest is history.
With discounts starting at 20%, and a huge variety of restaurants on board, this is one club you’ll definitely want to join.
