The temperature may be dropping with winter on its way, but a new yoga studio is bringing a different kind of heat to Brisbane.

South Brisbane’s Fish Lane is the location for the state-of-the-art Pilgrim Hot Yoga studio, which offers a new form of an ancient practice that Harvard Health reports is the only form of exercise that helps relieve stress while improving strength, balance, flexibility and overall health.

With a sophisticated far-infrared and heat recovery system providing waves of energy, invisible to the naked eye, penetrating the surface of the skin and gently elevating the body’s surface temperature to activate body systems and functions, Pilgrim Hot Yoga is bringing a brand new, high quality, hot yoga experience to the South Brisbane and CBD precincts.

With a striking mural by local artist Zoe Porter stretching across the studio, the calm, unique, and stunningly beautiful urban space features a dream team of highly experienced teachers offering a range of innovative classes for beginners to advanced yogis.

The classes are designed to provide diversity, with students encouraged to experience a range of different classes to discover the styles that work for their fitness and flexibility levels.

The teachers provide qualified, professional, engaging and approachable yoga instruction with the goal of encouraging students to explore and develop their own yoga practice.

Studio manager Talia Wylie has had a passion for yoga, health and well-being all her life, is an experienced yoga teacher and studio manager, and is excited to introduce a new form of this ancient practice to Brisbane.

“Pilgrim is for people who like to mix up their exercise experience, which is why we offer innovative classes such as Fighter Yoga and DJ-hosted sweat and stretch sessions,” Talia said.

“We’re much more than a traditional yoga studio; we’ve designed a welcoming community space that inspires members to not only achieve their physical goals, but practice self-care too.

“Members can use our gorgeous rain shower garden or the meditation lounge after class, and for those fired up after the endorphins and oxytocin kick in, they can cool down with our signature drink, the Pilgrim Passion at Kiki across Fish Lane.

“A lot of thought has gone into creating a space that offers an escape from the rhythm and grind of urban Brisbane life. Pilgrim is a place where people can become present, sweat, cool down, and reset themselves for the challenges of the daily hustle.”
