The Easter long weekend has long been associated with great seafood, so Kangaroo Point’s One Fish Two Fish is re-opening for one day (following their temporary closure in late March) to bring Brisbanites a Great Friday, with online orders for seafood and wine now open for pick-up or delivery.
“We traditionally spend a Great Friday (not just a Good Friday…) with other restaurant and bar owners over seafood and wine every year—obviously, things are different at the moment, but we hope we can share our traditions with people over the Easter break nonetheless,” says owner and head chef, Daniel Miletic.
Sydney rock oysters are available to be ordered by the dozen or half-dozen ($4 each), as well as peeled Queensland tiger prawns served with sriracha and lime aioli and lemon ($34 per half-kilo), and house-made tartare sauce ($2).
It wouldn’t be a long weekend without wine, so One Fish Two Fish is also offering bottles of Buoy Oh Bouy prosecco (VIC), Babo pinot grigio (ITA), and Bouchard Aîné & Fils rosé (FRA) for $35 with any order, while Lanson Père et Fils NV champagne is available for $90.
The deadline for Great Friday seafood and wine orders is 9 pm on Tuesday, April 7 via the One Fish Two Fish website; pick-up on Thursday, April 9 is preferred and available between 2 pm and 7 pm, while delivery on Thursday will be $15, or free for orders over $120.
