Famed for its modern Southeast Asian cuisine, Sum Yung Guys in Noosaville is the brainchild of Masterchef star Matt Sinclair and his best mates: Mo Rickard and Jeremiah Jones. Make a booking at the moody, mural-covered, neon-signed venue and you can expect a night of salivating Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and Korean flavours across the menu.
Located at Howard Smith Wharves is a two-storey restaurant inspired by the moody waterfront of Hong Kong’s picturesque Stanley Bay. Head Chef Louis Tikaram’s menu is one of the best in Brisbane, mixing traditional flavours with local ingredients and a global perspective. But for one night only, he’s sharing the reins with someone else.
It’s pretty much impossible to leave either venue disappointed, so strap yourselves in for a night of the finest pan-Asian fare thanks to an upcoming collaboration between the two restaurants.
Come July 7, Louis Tikaram will be making the trek up to Noosaville to collaboratively create a highly unique culinary experience for lucky guests. The menu has been crafted with contemporary Asian dining in mind with bookings available from $160 per person.
The wine list, developed by Sum Yung Guys’ bar manager, features nearly 100 predominantly Australian references, with a concise wine by the glass selection. The cocktail list shines on the classics, whilst including a handful of ‘SYG signatures’, with the welcome drink set to be served by the talented Stanley team. These will be available for purchase on the night.
