A new look for The Jetty South Bank
South Bank’s premium dining strip will offer an enchanting new experience come September, with The Jetty South Bank set to throw open its doors on an impressive transformation.
Sprawling green lawns border the river on South Bank’s alluring River Quay. It’s here that The Coats Group will introduce a fresh dining experience, pairing The Jetty’s waterfront scenes with an all-new layout and dining menu.
The previous restaurant configuration is gone, replaced by a new, split design, drawing guests to separate bar and restaurant spaces. The bar now stands at the forefront of the restaurant, enticing diners to begin their waterfront experience.
‘This is a whole new chapter for The Jetty South Bank. The updated layout offers diners two dining experiences – one, in the restaurant, exploring the new menu; and one at the bar. We’ve moved it to the front of the venue for diners in search of a more social, relaxed night out,’ says owner Jason Coats.
Rhett Willis stands at the forefront as The Jetty’s Head Chef, debuting a new realm of tantalising dishes. Together with its popular lunch and dinner sittings, The Jetty will now open from 7am daily – something not offered by anyone else on the River Quay.
Morning strolls by the water will soon be matched with takeaway coffees and freshly-made pastries, a preface to evenings spent overlooking the water, cocktails in hand.
As guests move from the bar to their awaiting table, they’ll be treated to Willis’ thoughtful designs – combinations of charred beef rib with pickled pawpaw, chilli caramel, and peanut crunch; beef cheek in a fragrant pho stock with soft noodles; and spaghettini with sand crab and confit garlic, dressed in chilli, lemon and parsley.
The striking L-shape bar will offer its own menu for more informal sittings, with guests to special events invited to retreat to a private dining room, able to host up to twenty guests.
From casual weeknight wines to enthralling settings for the big events – Riverfire, New Year’s Eve, Australia Day – the new chapter of The Jetty South Bank is set to make waves in Brisbane’s dining scene.
