This winter is heating up with a calendar of events to get everyone through those sub-20 temperatures. In collaboration with Aperol and 4 Pines, Riverbar & Kitchen will be transformed into Winter Lodge, a winter wonderland with an après-ski feel from July 15 to August 31. Think luxurious firepits, a pop-up plaza, faux fur throws, winter markets, cosy blankets, soul-warming Aperol cocktails (did someone say Winter Spritz?), and the decadent dishes to go with—it’s the place to warm up this winter.
After all, it’s not truly winter unless melted cheese is involved. Whilst heating up the extremities in front of a fire, visitors can indulge in a classic 4 Pines-infused cheese fondue served with potatoes, gherkins, sausage, vegetables, and toasted sourdough. And don’t worry, those with a sweet tooth will be equally delighted by Winter Lodge’s decadent DIY brownie s’more with salted caramel sauce, biscuits, and fruit for dessert.
For those looking to stock up for the colder months, a Winter Feast will be available for groups of more than two—ideal for going into hibernation. For just $45 per person, enjoy roasted lamb shanks, mashed potato, roasted vegetables, and warm garlic bread.
An additional pop-up space on the plaza will entertain and accommodate Brisbane’s social scene, ornate with cosy pillows, woollen throws, mood-setting fairy lights and more outdoor firepits.
The Plaza Markets will also take place on Thursday, July 15 and Thursday, August 12 from 11am to 3pm, showcasing the very best handmade goods, vibrant plants, tasty treats, delicious drinks, and even a pop-up from Riverbar’s neighbours, Madame Wu.
