JULY 2015: Bistro buffs and craft beer crusaders will have a new haunt when Brisbane’s latest gastropub, London Fields, opens in quirky West End next week.

Red Hook and Coppa Spuntino’s owners Tom Sanceau and Bonnie Shearston will once again collaborate with Jason White (Public co-owner) to deliver London Fields; a tribute to the classic British public houses of the past.

The London Fields vision was inspired by the British history, yet the restaurant and bar exudes a stylish and contemporary Queensland feel.

Con Tsangaris, formerly of Gerard’s Bistro, is on board as London Fields Head Chef and has created a mouthwatering menu based on the nose-to-tail concept, embracing high-quality local produce.

The menu offers an impressive selection of small and large share plates, with petite highlights including white beetroot with caviar, or clams with parsley and pickled garlic. More sizeable offerings like Murray Cod with parsley, capers, lemon and brown butter or the juicy scotch fillet with roast garlic and jus gras showcase the gourmet pub ethos the team are striving for.

The venue also provides a bar menu featuring snacks of stuffed ears, rabbit rillette and lamb ribs to accompany their vast suite of craft beers, local wines and colourful cocktail list.

London Fields caters to larger groups with functions packages available. Guests can choose to dine on a bistro banquet in their own private area or the whole venue will be available for parties of up to sixty guests, which is sure to be a popular Christmas Party suggestion.

This stylish venue is the latest addition to the newly constructed Stores Precinct, overlooking the Brisbane River on the corner of Montague Road and Raven Street in West End.

In the lead up to its launch, we developed an integrated social media campaign to raise awareness of the new venue.

The campaign was designed to explore the concept of the English Gastropub through the incorporation of iconic British references accompanied by dark colours and imagery. Click below to see more about the new venue.
