India isn’t a country that can be explained, it must be experienced. Gandhi’s Indian Street Kitchen is set to bring the true experience to South Bank next month.
After serving up Brisbane’s best Indian dishes for the last ten years, the restaurant has undergone renovations to become Gandhi Indian Kitchen & Laneway Stall.
The new concept was inspired by India’s thriving street food scene. Indian street food is influenced by many regional styles of cooking that blend a wide range of ingredients with flavours and textures.
The new venue will see the introduction of a traditional street food cart situated outside of the restaurant, serving up an ever-changing array of Indian street eats.
While street food is a key offering, the menu also includes a selection of specialty dishes from South and North India. From the fiery vindaloo of the pristine Goa coastline, to Delhi’s traditional Tandoori chicken each dish is rich in both history and flavour.
If you really want to immerse yourself in the experience, don’t forget to try the freshly baked breads, made daily in their traditional tandoori oven.
Gandh’s Indian Street Kitchen will also be serving up a traditional Indian breakfast every weekend following the restaurant’s launch in November.
Take it to the streets for your next Indian food experience!
