Everyone has heard the news that Brisbane Ice Cream Festival is back with even more opportunities to gorge on your favourite frosty food in 2022. We know the inside scoop has been on ice, now we are here to tell all about the return of Chef’s Playground!
On Saturday, April 9 from 6 pm, three of Queensland’s most creative and renowned culinary minds will come together to serve up a six-course dessert degustation. Philip Johnson (e’cco Bistro and Philip Johnson Catering), William Wallace (Executive Chef at William Wallace Group), and Matt Golinski (Ready Steady Cook and Peppers Noosa Resort) wil be whipping up sensational takes on the dessert that loves to be experimented with.
The menu promises to explore the realms of sweet and savoury with some unexpected twists. Highlights include kingfish ceviche with a finger lime and chilli sorbet, roasted pork belly served with apple and fennel sorbet, and even a mushroom dessert with hazelnut and salted caramel – flavours you’ve never tried before. Still not convinced? Each course will also include a perfectly paired wine that is sure to make you melt.
