Celebrate Lunar New Year on King Street!

Step onto the bustling streets of Beijing this February as King Street transforms for Lunar New Year. This Friday 16 and Saturday 17 February, vibrant reds and golds will drape over Brisbane’s favourite dining precinct, ushering in the Year of the Dog.

Once the sun sets, drums will roll through the streets as traditional lion dancers perform for visitors. With lucky lanterns glittering overhead, celebrations will take over King Street’s Fat Dumpling and Banoi, with each offering their own Lunar New Year feast.

The only resolution you’ll need? Scoring a reservation. Around the banquet tables of Fat Dumpling, friends and families will gather for a meal worth toasting to: an incredible shared banquet featuring all-you-can-eat dumplings.

From 5.30pm ‘til late both nights, diners will indulge in a four-course feast, including shared plates of stir fried greens, spring rolls, braised pork belly, and salt and pepper squid (among much more), paired with Fat Dumpling’s signature handmade dumplings. Rolling out the dumplings until you say ‘when,’ the team will also treat diners to desserts of fresh mango cake and a complimentary drink – all for $65pp.

Just steps away, aromatic Vietnamese dishes will top tables at fan-favourite Banoi. For $30pp, lion dancers will parade past diners as they indulge in a three-course banquet of crispy spring rolls, your choice of main, and a decadent Vietnamese flan.

This February 16 & 17, diners will be whisked away for a Lunar New Year celebration like no other. With reservations available from 5.30pm and performances trumpeting through the street from 6.30pm, your ticket to Brisbane’s top festivities are just a call away.
