Brisbane Festival is back for 2015, and with it comes an array of the best performing arts our city has ever seen. But, even with acrobats and live music galore, we all know that the talent we’ve got our eye on is the food showcased throughout the month for Festival Flavours. Dine over the finest art of them all (food – duh) with a selection of the cities most loved restaurants dishing up deals for you to get your hands on (and your mouth around). We’ve saved you the hassle of scoping out the hot deals yourself, and whipped together a list of our faves worth smacking your lips around this September.

Ahmet’s Turkish Restaurant

Celebrating Brisbane’s finest food means a quick trip to Turkey and all it’s offerings, with Ahmet’s Festival Flavours deal, the Istanbul Market Feast. Tuck into dishes of flash fried calamari, chicken, beef and adana skewers, lamb cutlets, bacalava and more, paired with a glass of Vinaceous wine – all for $50. Talk about a Turkish delight!

Cove Bar and Dining

Why not wine and dine by one of Brisbane’s best city views, and soak in the culture, atmosphere and surrounds of the South Bank River Quay? With the emphasis on ‘Queensland seafood,’ Cove Bar & Dining are offering up a second to none performance of pan fried barramundi fillet, beer battered chips and a garden salad, paired with a glass of Vinaceous Divine Light Sauvignon Blanc, for only $30. And if that’s not enough culture for your culinary desire, dining with Cove during Festival Flavours puts you in the running to win a foodie adventure in Singapore!

Livefire Steak Bar

Livefire is the heart of the party, and dishes up a steak like no man’s business. Nestled in the center of the action, above the famous beach and by the city skyline, you can’t say no to a selection of carefully tailored craft beers on tap, and a plate of jaw dropping Cape Grim steak. Festival Flavours at Lifefire means you can sink your teeth into one of their Cape Grim scotch fillets, munch on triple cooked chips and tipple down a class of Vinaceous Red Right Hand Shiraz, Grenache or Tempranillo, for only $30.

South Bank Surf Club

This is no traditional surf club. Famous for embracing the city’s lifestyle, where the city and beach are joined as one, South Bank Surf Club are all about fresh ingredients and local produce. What better way to celebrate Brisbane Festival than over a crispy skin pork belly (holy drool-worthy) served with a warm salad of roast parsnip, butternut pumpkin, macadamia nuts and rocket, paired with an apple ketchup. Whet your celebratory whistle with a paired glass of Vinaceous ‘Shakre’ Chardonnay and only set yourself back $30.

Next Door Kitchen & Bar

Dinner and a show? We can’t think of a better place to enjoy a few sneaky beverages between friends and party like it’s prohibition. Inspired by the roaring 20’s, speakeasy charisma, and the fine art of mixing drinks and food, Next Door will transport you to a time where art, life, and food, were one in the same. Be treated for $30 to a Festival Flavours dish of whisky braised beef cheeks (because booze and meat is ALWAYS a good idea), smoked potato puree and toasted hazelnuts with pig candy. Wash it all down with a paired glass of Vinaceous Impavido Vermentino or Red Right Hand Grenache Tempranillo, and you’ll be flapping too!

Soleil Pool Bar

Nothing goes together like warm weather and Soleil, and what a time to enjoy the ambiance of their warm and inviting cityscape than over a toast to the Brisbane Festival. Soak up the sun over lunch, or bask in the pre-show nightlife, cocktail in hand, over the South Bank atmosphere. Join them on a Friday or Saturday night and get the party started with DJ entertainment and standout cuisine.

Almost an entire month of Festival Flavours means a whole month of eating out. We’ll drink to that!
