It’s never too hard to twist our arms into a sneaky midweek cocktail, but thanks to Negroni Week there’s no twisting involved (except for the orange peel). And with proceeds from your cheeky drink going to support Queensland children living in difficult circumstances or victims of the Nepal earthquakes, you can join us on a clear conscience.
Negroni Week was founded in 2013 by Imbibe and Campari, and what was once a relatively small-time affair among 100 bars in the US now sees over 1,300 venues across the globe celebrating one of the world’s favourite cocktails, each giving a portion of the sale from every negroni sold to a charity of their choice.
We’re proud to be supporting (as both their marketing agency and professional cocktail drinkers) two venues celebrating Negroni Week in Brisbane: Spaghetti House Trattoria and The Fox Hotel.
Spaghetti House know that the traditional negroni (equal parts gin, vermouth and campari) isn’t to everyone’s taste, so they’re offering a range of twists on the classic so we can all get in on the (charitable) action. Whether you’re a stickler for tradition, opt for the negroni sour or try a White Italian (a classic negroni with coffee liqueur and full cream milk) you’ll be supporting children in need via Variety Queensland.

Just around the corner (why not make it a charitable negroni crawl?) The Fox Hotel are pairing a classic of Tanqueray gin, Antica Formula vermouth and Campari with their addictive herb-crumbed olives stuffed with organic feta for $20. Every purchase at the Fox will be supporting the victims and recovery effort following the recent earthquakes in Nepal, with proceeds going to the Red Cross Nepal Earthquake Appeal.
