4 August – Wandering Cooks – The Dinner Club
Turning the traditional ‘soup kitchen’ model on its head, The Dinner Club is held on the first Tuesday of every month in conjunction with Micah Projects. Brisbane’s most vulnerable are invited in for a quality, nourishing meal. Instead of lining up, guests are served at the table and seated alongside members of the community with an interest in social justice. Interested members of the public can be involved and attend the dinner for $30.

7 to 16 August – Lick! Ice Cream Strawberry Sundaes at the EKKA
Local ice cream producer Lick! Ice Cream is the official supplier for the Ekka Strawberry Sundae for the second year in a row! With a record of 145,000 sundaes sold last year, Lick! are gearing up to supply several thousand more litres of ice cream in 2015. Strawberry Sundaes are available to be purchased from one of six stalls inside the EKKA grounds and all funds raised go to The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation.
