Last night, Cuisine on Cue partnered with QUT Precincts and The Styled Group to charm guests with an enthralling one-off event. QUT’s Gardens Theatre was transformed into an enchanted garden, unveiling wonder and intrigue to an intimate group of Brisbane’s finest influencers, event coordinators, and media and events personnel.
Cuisine on Cue’s owner, Anna Morrow, said, “The Enchanted Garden event allowed the team and I to showcase our tailored menus that can be created to suit all function themes and challenged us to be creative in the kitchen.”
Cuisine on Cue’s talent for crafting specialty menus was first exhibited to its 48 guests with a pop-up food station, specialising in canapés of chermoula marinated prawns and pan fried cauliflower with grated turmeric, chilli, flaked almonds and basil.
As the night advanced, catering staff plated up meals that captured the magical essence of the space, with dishes of yellowtail kingfish on a soba noodle salad, sarsaparilla beef cheek with grilled fennel and roasted beets, and warm confit duck terrine with spiced rum raisins. Guests were sent home with giftpacks of dark chocolate marquise with a choc chip base and pistachio crust as a final memory of the exclusive event.
The Styled Group transformed Gardens Theatre into a magical setting as guests dined underneath a hanging tree at the table’s centre, with glass lanterns and chandeliers adding a fairytale twinkle to the table below. Meanwhile, tablecloths were garbed in forest greenery and personalised terrariums at every place setting. With the use of dry ice, a mystical fog drifted across the dining room floor, crafting a room of intrigue and fantasy.
The RUSH Group provided the musical talents of Paris Nikki and Matt Made in a combined concert of entrancing vocals and keyboard music throughout the evening.
Cuisine on Cue’s renown has been previously established through contributions to events such as Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries Costume Exhibition and Lend Lease’s Annual Leaders Dinner.
